That is the reality for writing poetry, for sure! Writing Lyrics on the other hand appears to be much more profitable from what I can see. Has a poem ever gone viral? Is writing lyrics a debased form of poetry?

It appears that the marriage of music and lyrics into song is more “magical” and appreciated than either word s or music alone?

    That is so true. Personally I regard songs as poetry to music. I sometimes write my longer poems to music and try to get the metre moving to the beat. Thank you for visiting and taking time out to comment.
