GEEZ!! This piece surely throbs! Great, intense word choices, Davy!
Ooooohhhh…no amount of words can explain how it hit me hard…
Thanks for the comment Mich. Some of these prompts are pulling some of my memories from my time as a police officer in London. There will be some more darkness on route 😦
ohhh you were a police officer that’s interesting… i can’t wait to see more of your memories…
Thank you Mich 🙂
Thank you Delyn 🙂
Most welcome–my pleasure 🙂
And as Rosey would say, “Fierce!” 🙂
Yes, she has a great way with words 🙂
She sure does, the little doll ❤
Heeeey!!! talking about me!! HAHAHA
Only in the way one would talk about a great wordsmith 🙂
heey! that is not true! (facepalm) HAHA
I can so relate to this. This really hurts 😦
I hope not too much Kavita 😦
Don’t worry! I’m a big girl 😀
geeeez Davy! this hurts!! hard!
A reflection of a case I once dealt with many years ago Rosema 😦
ooooh. tell me more. HAHA (sorry, so nosy.)
You may have to be patient Rosema and wait for the book 🙂
HAHAHA! Okay. 😀
Oh dear. This put a dagger to my hopeless romantic heart. *sigh*
Sorry Maria but sometimes love has to end this way 😦 Maybe things will look more hopeful as the challenge progresses 🙂
Love this! Great mental imagery blending with the words. I loved the last line “Ending the Torment”. But the thought ran through my mind, having been through “An Ending” that they probably weren’t really that lucky. Torment, separation and endings usually take a long time to end and they leave scars in the mind and soul too, if one is lucky enough to survive the experience. Another powerful three lines!! Kudos.
Thanks Charles for the kind words. I think torment can operate on different levels in these situations. As you say some can go on for some time, if not forever.
Love the song “Love Hurts”. Was that an inspiration?
It was probably in there somewhere. I love the version by a Scottish group called Nazareth. I spend all day listening to music whilst writing.
I think I love that version the best!
They were a good group and produced a few classic rock tracks in the 70s.
