Lovely image. You make me wonder how best to judge that ‘agreed distance’. Time and again I get my camera out to capture a bird which always flies off just as I point my camera towards it. Your verse does remind me that, of course, I should just ‘wonder’ and forget the camera!!!

Beautiful. The Robins and I have no agreement as yet, as soon as I spot them they retreat.

On another note, you just reminded me of a film called Time Bandits that I used to watch as a child. I must dig it out.

    Thank you Nicola. It is surprising, but the more they see you the better it will get and you sussed it. When I was thinking of the title for this poem it was the film Time Bandits that sprung to mind. It is still one of my favourite films.
