In Search of Banksy

Scratch a brick
and feel
a generation’s

tears

laughter

ecstasy

Inside – movement forces us to
make history and place our
handprints on four walls

Outside – secretive murals drag us
from comfort blankets and
draw question marks on
value and belief systems

A big thank you to Maria over at Doodles and Scribbles and her poem If I Could Build a House that provided the seed for this poem. If you are unfamiliar with Banksy’s art take a look at Banksy.co.uk

A potent message, Davy. Presented with feeling and an effective turn of phrase. That Mona Lisa face creeps in everywhere! A great image to mirror the whole Banksy mystery.

I echo RL Cadillac. Those last 2 stanzas are especially astounding. And thank you for the mention D. It’s always a delight to know people of common interest like you. 😁

P.S. I look forward to you finding Banksy’s works in the near future. ✌🏿

What a fascinating project! I took a peek at both websites. You captured the feel of the hotel, its surroundings and a visitor’s heart–but of course only what I imagine them to be. The rooms truly are works of art.
