A thoughtful and sensitive start to my Friday, Davy. What lies beyond is presumably ‘the backside of the night’!

Evening time seems to hold more promises than other times of the day I feel. A restlessness after a long day and anticipating rest, yet a struggle with oneself to do something special to honour the last minutes of light. I hope it won’t be a final embrace but a long one that lasts till sun sets totally. And the wonder of what’s beyond that….lots in my mind. Lovely lines!

Thank you Singledust. I agree there is a magic about a sunset that gets the mind and poetic juices flowing. No matter how many times you watch a sunset it will always leave an imprint. Thanks for taking time out to read, comment and enjoy 🙂

Very thoughtful and pensive post. I’m guessing you meant besides – change? What kind of change – better or worse and how we will react emotionally? This is yet another wonderfully provoking poem! Hopefully, a better path for both parties? Kudos

Just beyond the sunset? I’d say…the first embrace. 😉

I love your conversation starters. Such lovely talent.
