Innocence of Youth

… Yet the ‘ME’ you are now came from that youthful victimhood. Worked out well in the end, n’est-ce pas?

Never imagined youth to be innocent. You gave a reason. Cool.

Oh, Davy, this brings back memories! You captured the feeling so well. I only had to write lines in school, once, and It WAS me. But I still felt like a victim. Why did that boy have me pass a note while the teacher was writing on the chalkboard? I made a paper airplane out of it. The plane mysteriously took flight the minute the teacher turned around–bad timing on my part but a cool paper airplane. And you, was it ever really you?

Ahh, that brings back fond memories, although in my case I was on the other side of the process. I once set a kid to write out 50 times “I must learn to behave more like a human being and less like a badly trained baboon”. I remember him muttering “I’m not even a well trained baboon” to himself as he wrote.

I was that little girl who gazed upon the boys made to sit in the corner (State’s form of goal for the wicked), and died of embarrassment at the thought. Good thing I grew up and developed some attitudeπŸ˜„

100 lines “back in the day” (school) sounded quite formidable, didn’t it!

Haha! We were never given lines. We had harsher treatment. But I agree. It was never you πŸ˜‰
