That is most definitely true! Much of the news is so shocking that one can’t help but sit and stare with one’s mouth wide open.
Have a blessed day, Davy!

Thank you Suzanne, it also amazes me as to what makes front news some days. Has celebrity culture taken over the world? Have a blessed day and thank you for taking time to read and comment.

      You’re welcome, Davy.
I agree about the celebrity culture. Some of the things that pass for news are things that are absolutely nobody’s business except for the people involved.

I remember years ago, when I was a young girl, a news clip was aired about our then-President Jimmy Carter. It was a very personal health problem and they were blasting it all over the news. It wasn’t something that would have affected his job duties. I was totally embarrassed for him. It sure sealed the deal for me to never want any public office, I tell you. 🙂

      Have a blessed day. 🙂

Thanks Suzanne, I just wonder what is going to happen when someone switches the internet off 🙂

You’re welcome, Davy. There will lots of whining, I’m sure, but maybe people will actually start paying attention to their families again. So many live their lives completely in front of a screen and ignore those right in the room with them. That is very sad. I know several “screen addicted” people and they are missing out on so much “real” life.
I, for one, would be very happy to not see another post about the Kardashians or J-Lo. haha
      Have a blessed day. 🙂

How true it is, Davy. Sometimes I forget that many people aren’t concerned at all about the same things I’m concerned about. And then I remember. Great poem Davy! I caught myself dropping my jaw just like in the poem–you and your visuals!

Yes, I’m afraid ‘life is too often measured out with coffee spoons’ to adapt Eliot … and the press and so much of social media seem keen to perpetuate this. Fake News or No News seems to be the order of the day – for me, Davy, your verse points to that so well.

Isn’t this the absolute truth! And who knows what to believe?!
