Timely reminder Davy, I was recently looking at leather journals ( I bought 2 in the end} and though not practical for me personally, how magical to have a small wrap note book to sit with anytime or place and jot those elusive gems of thought down.

I totally agree Nigel. I like to pay for a nice journal as it entices you to write in it. My first thoughts and drafts always go in them before they hit the computer. Thanks for taking time out to comment.

I can so relate, Davy.

I think we can get drawn in by Social Media Laura and before we know it forget there is another world. This was a gentle note to self πŸ™‚

You captured the feeling so well, Davy. It’s interesting because social media hasn’t done much at all for my blog traffic. And Gurus like Seth Godin don’t even spend time on it. Of course, he’s famous! But it does make me wonder …

It is an interesting conversation Laura. I think a lot of the hype is generated by people who have businesses built around Social Media. It has its positives but I think has to be balanced with other things.

So much said in this verse, Davy. You write with so much thought and it stimulates my thinking process as I read !

Davy, … “there is a time for every purpose under the sun” (The Byrds, etc.). That’s what your poem so effectively reminded me of. We adapt to our present ‘state of affairs’. but we ‘right-minded’ people can still manage to envisage, and enjoy, how things were – and still can be if we allow it.

So true Roland. I sometimes think the New Age is leaving me behind and then I remember what the old age contained. I’m beginning to sound more like my dad each day. Thanks for taking time out to comment.

Roland, I love that song. I remember when life was different too. My youngest kids don’t. At least my older two had the chance to run around in the California redwoods slaying dragons. One day I hope to not be on my computer so much. But right now I have some goals that require it. Yoga. I need to stop saying I’m going to do it and just do it, instead.

What a beautiful verse, Davy, and reminds me of times when I experienced warm and cozy feelings.

You are safe from Ophelia, I hope? What’s it like where you are?

Profound words Davy. I buy the composition notebooks when we have ‘back to school’ days and can pick them up for twenty five cents each. The WordPress community is about the extent of my social media these days.

Yes, so true, Davy!
We need a good balance of inside and outside….online and offline.
I don’t Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. I only blog, so I keep my online time to a small amount. I prefer to be doing other things.
HUGS!!! :_)
