I love this, Davy. I see two people playing scrabble, but there is tension, I think. The game resembles their relationship. I don’t know if that’s what you meant, but that’s what I feel, an awkward waiting. .

A good viewpoint on the poem Laura. I think scrabble holds the tension and play we always have as writers with words. As you say it can be see as a reflection of relationships.

No don’t Laura. I think you uncovered something in the poem that was written at an unconscious level. I liked what you saw in the poem and when I read your comments and went back to the poetry I realised you were right in what you interpreted.

PS…I love to play Scrabble! I love getting letters like Q, Z, K, X! I love the challenge! And I’ve learned some Q words that don’t need a U. Ha. πŸ˜€

Loved this and word games too! So well done! Reminds me of a love poem I wrote years ago – “Life Without U”. You would be amazed at how crazy a poem looks like if you never use the letter U! LOL! Not that much fun to read either! Ha!
Thanks for such a great read!!!
Oh, almost forgot. If you or your followers want a fun word game to play – Learn to play “BOGGLE”. Oh, here is a great Q word qua!
