False news, the current trend, can be applied to love as well as to politics, suggesting that love has so much to do with self image. A truth your poem effectively explores, Davy

Nothing wrong with tango in April showers as long as the underlying coinage is true. However, a flurry of “election promises” will not sustain love nor will it grow into greater depth.
That said, a flower plucked with real love lights up the heart.

Love teaches us through the deals that it cannot be captured. But, gosh, it takes us a while to learn this truth. Powerful poem, Davy.

So true! Immediately your lovely poem had me thinking of Shakespeareโ€™s quote from Romeo and Juliet, โ€œOh, I am fortuneโ€™s fool!โ€ We have all been there havenโ€™t we?

We have indeed Lesley and for some of us (me) on more occasions than was comfortable. Still, I found my Princess in the end ๐Ÿ™‚ I should have listened to Shakespeare at an earlier age.

A beautiful ponderful insightful poem, Davy! Your word-pics are vivid!
Yes, love is complex…but worth it! ๐Ÿ™‚
Love is so precious, shouldn’t be taken for granted.
We should be grateful for love. ๐Ÿ™‚
HUGS!!! ๐Ÿ™‚
PS…Now I’m thinking about Valentine’s Day! One of my favorite days each year! ๐Ÿ™‚

This is wonderful, Davy. Love certainly takes its toll. But I’m glad you found your princess in the end. On a different note, You’ve got a storm headed your way. I have a one track mind, so it seems, and it doesn’t appear to be much about love these days. I much prefer the weather. I guess it’s a stage I’m going through. ๐Ÿ™‚

Thank you Laura and thank you for your kind words. Yes, have woken up this morning to very strong winds, although we never got much warning in the news due to Trump and his diplomacy. Hope you are well and nice to have you visiting again.

I have a lot of catching up to do! But I won’t be posting on my own blog for a while. The owl has to make a living, so I’m pitching hard. I’m sorry that Trump is trumping news about wind. In regards to your poem, I’ve gone down that road many times, for better or worse, so I definitely appreciate hearing your thoughts.
