The Backside Of The Night

The Backside of the night 2018

On this occasion Davy I’ll simply say, ‘utterly beautiful’.

Extremely emotive Davy, both words and picture.
Shadows of the night being so deep and hiding whatever your imagination conjures up. I prefer daytime shadows.
Beautifully done

I have started to frequent this time a little more Miriam as a number of poets said they find it the best time for them to write poetry. I still find my preference in the early mornings and during the day but there is some different energy in the early hours. Thank you for your thoughts they might provide some conversations for Thursdays.

revisiting this poem of yours Davy at a later time I see how attractive that shadow can be when we are so connected to a person’s soul.

You did again Davy: simple words; simple verses but filled with complex emotions

Yes, Davy. Dreams do provide that relief from reality which the haunted would crave. As long as those dreams don’t become nightmares. That ‘backside of the night’ image does prove to be conducive to some potent poetry.

Thank you Roland. There are lots of poets who find their poetry and spend their time here. Although I am still a bed by 9 with cocoa type I do like to venture here occasionally.

Outstanding! Mysterious and haunting, it sucked me right in.

Shadow-y, evocative, relatable, love this one, Davy!
I find it’s the nighttime when I can best write poetry. There is something in the dreaming and the dark and the memories that give birth to poems.
HUGS!!! πŸ™‚
